'SPACE FLIGHT: Orbital Emergency' is a location-based VR experience tailored to the IMAX VR experience centers around the globe. I converted the project from a Unity prototype to an Unreal base on which the director and designers could develop and iterate the experience.
I also provided support to the designers throughout the project by implementing their feature requests and bugfixing.
The project uses the Unreal Timeline to control all the game events which allows for a highly interactive in-editor iteration workflow. The game is localized to support Chinese and English, with the voice-over audio switching as well!
The experience has been developed in Unreal Engine 4 using the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive. It also supports the D-BOX motion chair.
